From plantations lined with mossy oaks to our Atlantic coastline, anyone who’s visited the lowcountry knows of its beauty and charm. The lowcountry is full of southern charm and amazing food, and that’s why it remains a top place for people to visit (and sometimes move to).
Another reason you might know of the lowcountry is the countless films and shows that have been filmed here, most notably being The Notebook. I love the movie, the many great quotes, and the relationship shared between Noah and Allie. One of my favorite quotes is “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird.” and “So it’s not gonna be easy, it’s gonna be really hard. And we’re gonna have to work at this everyday, but I wanna do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever. You and me. Everyday.” to give you a few.
So I want to share with you a recent Charleston session that reminded me of the lowcountry’s most famous film. This sweet couple were married at this very spot and decided to come back here, now as a family of 5.
